Lemay has won a call for tenders to design a master urban development plan for the Greater Ouarzazate Region by Morocco’s minister of urbanism and land planning. Led by René Hubert’s international team, the firm now returns to this country and home of several past mandates under the DAA banner.
Lemay’s professional network and intimate knowledge of the local sociocultural context are a major advantage for Moroccan clients. Concerted efforts, backed by this extensive experience, have also borne fruit in a competition to present a concept for two seaside cornices in Casablanca; our landscape architecture and LemayLab teams are in the running. Lemay is entered in several key urban design and urbanism competitions.
A permanent Lemay office will soon be set up in Casablanca in order to supervise the firm’s activities in this fast-growing emerging country. Lemay’s presence there will also allow it to cover other countries in the region, namely Senegal, where it recently qualified as one of six major international firms authorized to supply urban planning services to the country’s municipal development agency.
